WMF participates in environmentally conscious community efforts:

1st Annual Zero Landfill Celebration 2006 - Collecting product samples & literature and diverting them from local landfills through recycling / returning them to the economy in new and usable forms.

WMF is committed to having several members of the firm as accredited LEED professionals, and is also involved as corporate members of the Greater Cleveland Green Building Coalition and The U.S. Green Building Council.

Green Initiatives at Cleveland State University

We are currently seeking Silver LEED Certification for Cleveland State University’s new Wellness and Recreation Center, completed Summer 2006.  Innovative design solutions were implemented to achieve a LEED certified building with little additional cost.

Green Initiatives at Weber Murphy Fox

Weber Murphy Fox relocated its Cleveland office in the spring of 2003 to the 15th floor of the AmTrust Bank Building.

The design strategy included the importance of incorporating “green”/sustainable building principles and initiatives.  Our office flooring combines areas of carpet while exposing the natural concrete slab at circulation areas.  Millwork includes materials such as stained MDF and sunflower seed composite utilized in desk millwork and miscellaneous cabinetry design.

The design strategy also included deductive versus additive solutions creating an innovative solution without wasting resources.
